Diagnostic Aid for Cancer
We are developing our diagnostic aid for cancer (“DAC”) test to accelerate diagnostic resolution for patients with non-specific signs and symptoms, but with a clinical suspicion of cancer.
Through a simple blood test, DAC is designed to provide physicians with a powerful decision-making tool to aid diagnosis, achieve resolution more quickly, and avoid unnecessary workups. Symptomatic detection of cancer is a significant unmet need; we estimate that approximately 16 million patients in the United States present with non-specific signs and symptoms each year.
Data from our SYMPLIFY study published in The Lancet Oncology showed that, in a symptomatic patient population, our methylation technology was able to detect many cancer types and accurately identify where the cancer signal origin was located in the body.
