Joshua Ofman, MD, MSHS

Josh Ofman, MD, MSHS, is Chief Executive Officer of GRAIL. He joined GRAIL in 2019 and has held several leadership roles at the company, including President and, prior to that, Chief Medical Officer.

Josh has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of EveryONE Medicines, a company dedicated to precision medicine for rare genetic diseases, and served on the boards of the Precision Medicine Coalition, Cell BT, Inc., an immunotherapy company, and the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), among others.

Prior to joining GRAIL, Josh spent more than 15 years at Amgen, where his last role was Senior Vice President, Global Value, Access and Policy. Earlier in his career, Josh was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine and Health Services Research at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine and the Division of Digestive Diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also served as Senior Vice President of Zynx Health Inc., a subsidiary of Cerner Corp.

Josh holds a BA in history and philosophy of science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MD from the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He completed his medical training at the UCLA School of Medicine divisions of Internal Medicine and Digestive Diseases, where he also completed the NRSA Primary Care Research Fellowship in collaboration with the RWJ Clinical Scholars Program. Josh also holds a Master of Science in Health Services Research (MSHS) from the UCLA School of Public Health.
